MILBRE BURCH

A nationally known storyteller, writer, and recording artist, Milbre Burch has performed from Maui to Martha’s Vineyard. She has produced five cassette tapes, and her monologues and stories have been published in various magazines, in the anthology Xanadu 2, and in Best-Loved Stories Told at the National Storytelling Festival. She lives with her husband and daughter in Pasadena, California.

She wrote “The Huntsman’s Story” in response to the discovery of Polly Klass’s body two months after the twelve-year-old’s kidnapping.

Burch wrote “After Push Comes to Shove” during the 1993 Los Angeles fires.
